In AC electrical networks, inductive loads such as motors, transformers, and magnetic equipment draw both active power and reactive power. The relationship between useful active power and total apparent power is represented by the power factor. A low power factor increases current demand and can result in higher losses and reduced utilization of electrical infrastructure.

P2 Power MPP Capacitors are designed for reactive power compensation and power factor correction applications. These capacitors use Metallized Polypropylene (MPP) film technology, providing low dielectric losses, self- healing characteristics, and reliable operation in demanding electrical environments.

The polypropylene dielectric film is metallized using a thin conductive layer, creating a compact capacitor element with efficient electrical performance. The self-healing construction helps isolate localized dielectric faults, supporting operational reliability and extended service life.
