Active Power Filter

P2 Power APF continuously measures system current through external current transformers. The controller processes the measured current in real time to identify harmonic, reactive-power and current-unbalance components

Based on the selected compensation mode, the IGBT power converter generates a compensating current and injects it in parallel with the load. The output current is dynamically controlled through a closed-loop control system to reduce harmonic current, improve power factor and correct three-phase current imbalance

When the compensation demand exceeds the available APF capacity, the output is automatically limited to 100% of rated current, ensuring safe continuous operation without overloading the module

Active Power Filter

Integrated with Alpha, Gamma, Edge, Ultra, and Mini Series power modules to provide intelligent and efficient harmonic mitigation, improved power quality, and reliable system performance

How the Active Power Filter works
APF System Architecture

The P2 Power Active Power Filter is designed with a modular architecture that offers flexibility, scalability, and simplified maintenance. It uses advanced high-speed IGBT power electronics with closed-loop current control to deliver efficient harmonic compensation.

A complete APF solution consists of one or multiple modules managed through a 7-inch or 10-inch Human Machine Interface (HMI). Each module operates independently, allowing users to easily increase or decrease system capacity by adding or removing modules according to changing load requirements.

APF Module & Cabinet Solutions

APF modules and the HMI can be integrated into P2 Power’s standard APF cabinets or customized enclosures, with protection levels available according to project requirements.

Human Machine Interface (HMI)

Available display options include:

  • 7-inch Touch HMI
  • 10-inch Touch HMI
Standard Cabinet Configuration

Cabinet configurations can include:

  • MCCB
  • SPD
  • HMI
  • Emergency Stop
  • Auxiliary Protection

Cabinets are available with protection ratings including IP30, IP42, IP54, or customized solutions based on application requirements

Wall-Mounted APF Solution

The P2 Power Wall-Mounted Active Power Filter is designed for applications with lower current ratings where compact installation is preferred

The unit can be directly mounted on the wall, while the HMI is securely installed using a dedicated mounting bracket for convenient operation and protection

Wall-mounted systems are available in IP30, IP42, IP54, or customized enclosure configurations to suit various environmental conditions
